I am dylan.
We have a 13 year old son named Caleb.
I work in IT, meaning I fix computers for an office full of programmers. I have been into computers since I got PONG in 1978 and my first PC in 1983. I ♥ the interwebs.
I have also been a skateboarder since the summer I turned 13. Skateboarding has been the biggest influence on me. It still informs everything I am. From the way I view the world to the shoes I wear, I will always be a skateboarder. Unfortunately I hurt my knee pretty bad almost two years ago and it keeps me from riding still. But my son skates and I love to watch him progress and have fun.
I am also into weird and obscure things. I am a learner, I love knowledge and skills. I read as much as possible and always seem to have a new pet hobby that I am scrounging for all the info I can. My favorite authors are Robert Anton Wilson, Robert Heinlein and Alan Watts.
I am also a huge hockey fan. The Nashville Predators are my favorite team of any sports team ever. I don’t really like any other sports, but hockey is my thing. GO PREDS! And to go along with hockey, I LOVE BEER! I am learning to be a beer snob, not really I am just trying to like as many good beers as possible and to know the difference. We even have our first home brew in the tank right now. I’ll let you know how that goes.
So those are the highlights. I am real excited to be a part of the Scintilla Project. As an aspiring writer with more ideas than time, I hope this can help me to blast out some words and keep the ideas flowing…
